alive - sorta

I'm surviving student teaching. I know some of you were wondering because the lights have been out around here and it's been very quiet. I am, however, alive. Exhausted. And when I say that I mean down to the deepest level of exhaustion possible. I mean the sort that comes from grading 150 essays in 2 days. I also mean the sort that requires me to get up and go in early to enter grades for sports eligability and the sort that doesn't let me spell properly anymore because I've seen so many odd spellings of words in the last 6 weeks that I don't know what's right anymore. When Anthem suggested meat sauce and a hungry dog as the solution to grading essays I think he was on to something. I promise that one of these days I'll climb out of this experience with great things to say and fresh energy and insight to life and teaching, but for now all I really want to do is.. well, sleep.
