I'm OK
And that's a good thing in more than one way. Obviously I was teasing when I said I would be back because I wrote two entries and then disappeared for 3 weeks or so. Sorry. But, I'm ok.
The good news is that I still have a job, I'm managing okay at it, although if I get anyone aside I might vent a little and ask a lot of questions.
The bad news is that I was in a car accident on the 4th day of school. But, I'm ok. My car is totalled and I've been dealing with the insurance. I was the middle car in a three car string. Basically the guy behind me pushed me into the car (truck!) in front of me. Oh, and then the guy took off. Although in the end, who knows if he would have had insurance (apparently common here, due to location). We did get a license plate, but the police report is still open, so who knows what they are doing, if anything. But, I'm ok.
I've spent the last 3 weeks without a car, but that should be changing in another week or so. My dad has offered to sell me his car for a VERY reasonable rate so I'm taking that deal so he can get a shiny new car when he arrives in Arizona. (That's a story for another entry, I'm sure).
While it was a rough road into adulthood.. having to deal with all of those things in about a week of life, I'm ok. I still like it here and it's still hot but I'm going to have a car again, I've got a nice job, in a few weeks I get a laptop, I have benefits now and in the end, I'm OK.
